Membership - Aims and Objectives

1. To practice the highest standards of care for those within our charge and to promote their welfare, also to bring relief from disabilities and infirmities to those who are sick, disabled or aged.
   
   
2. To establish and maintain regular inspection procedures so as to ensure a high standard of care, environment and accommodation is maintained in Member Homes.
   
   
3. To represent the views of SECHA in support of a high standard of care whenever and wherever necessary and to be active in ensuring a good public opinion of our role and our Homes.
   
   
4. To encourage and assist with training programmes for Care Home Staff.
   
   
5. To organise professional and social functions and to promote a good standard of training also to encourage the exchange of ideas to help achieve a high standard of care.
   
   
6. To foster good relationships with Social Services, Local  Authorities, Health Authorities and other Statutory Bodies
   
   
7. To advise, support and represent members whenever they experience difficulties relating to their role as Care Home  Proprietors or Managers.
